WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA -- JUNE 4, 2009 -- Rapper Julie Fucking Potter
(JFP) has released a new single entitled Never Disappear, currently
available online for download at www.digstation.com/neverdisappear.
Accompanied on the track by her partner, violinist Caroline Dream
(CNOTE), Potter eloquently represents the feelings of many same-sex
couples in the U.S. who still do not enjoy the freedom to marry, while
encouraging them with the strident reminder, “We’ve got hope.” JFP
and CNOTE are donating half the proceeds from sales of the song to the
Courage Campaign, a non-profit organization dedicated to mobilizing
communities in the pursuit of equal rights for everyone. Never
Disappear is available for preview in the player above, or at www.myspace.com/JFPlive.
“I had to do this song. I had to say something. I had to speak about my life.
This answers the question, what can I do to change things, because for
99 cents a download, anyone, anywhere, can chip in and contribute. We
need exposure, we need to educate people, we need to be visible and
the Courage Campaign is leading the way!” Potter says. more...
